Until now, members residing outside Japan have not been charged the review fee when submitting manuscripts to our journal Studies in Regional Science. However, we will now standardize the procedure in line with domestic members and collect the fees as outlined below. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

Review Fee: 20,000JPY
Please make the payment upon your first submission. Upload a PDF of the payment record to the submission site under the category “Proof of payment,” along with your manuscript.

Excess Page Charge: 11,000 yen per page
The standard manuscript length is 13 pages in the final printed format. The above excess page charge will apply to each page from page 14 onward. The Secretariat will issue an invoice for accepted manuscripts that fall under this rule. Please note that the final printed length may differ from the length at the time of submission.

Color Printing Fee for the Printed Journal: 35,000 yen per page
This fee applies per page regardless of the number of figures or tables. If you wish to request color printing, please contact the Secretariat.

For authors who wish to display color only in the electronic journal
A fee of 500 yen plus 300 yen per figure or table will be charged. Please contact the Secretariat if you wish to request this option.
